OKC man arrested for 2013 cold case killing of 94-year-old woman

3/3/2017 - Robert Leon Hashagen III has been arrested for the 2013 murder of his former Oklahoma City neighbor - Evelyn Goodall, 94.

According to prosecutors, Hashagen, 53, encountered Goodall while burglarizing her home and then violently assaulted her. Goodall died of her wounds two days after the attack.

The case went unsolved ever since, that is until DNA testing connected Hashagen to the crime scene.

At the time of Goodall's murder, Hashagen was reported to have been staying with his sister and brother-in-law, just two doors down from Goodall.

Prosecutors allege that Hashagen's DNA was also found on evidence collected during a 2010 burglary of Goodall's home. Goodall was also injured in that instance.

Hashagen reportedly admitted to using meth around the time of Goodall's murder, though he denies any involvement in her death.

Hashagen is being held in the Oklahoma County Jail without bond.
