Police juvenile program instills principles, lays groundwork for life skills

The first wave of minor offenders and forward-thinking youths have graduated from Oklahoma City police's first Juvenile Intervention Program.

The six-week course serves as a diversion for low-level offenses adjudicated in the municipal courts, and as a leadership course for students who hope to get ahead or want a reference for their resumes.

Former Choctaw High School teacher and assistant wrestling coach, Austin Quinton, was sentenced to serve jail time after pleaded guilty to engaging in a sexual relationship with teen student.

Quinton, 25, pleaded guilty to four counts of second-degree rape of a 17-year old female.
